DATAONE SYSTEMS, LLC Level 1 Technician in DALLAS, Texas
Position Summary:
You will perform the installation of DataOne's Layer 1 infrastructure solutions that transcend our client's expectations as a Level 1 Technician.
Provides installation services for power and data-cabling jobs as assigned. Will be required to work on a crew on projects where other technicians are functioning as the lead.
Responsibilities:
Assist with installation, adjustments, and changes to network connections for technical systems
Perform work under supervision
Install, terminate, test and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling for data centers in a service provider environment
Properly label, comb and dress cables following site standards and industry standards
Must have moderate knowledge in computer literacy skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, traversing of a standard filing system, general typing skills, and familiarity of proper email etiquette
Work in a team environment
Requirements:
1+ year of work experience in structured cabling preferred, a plus not required
High school diploma
Able to speak and write clearly in English
Valid driver's license
Basic competence in the utilization of hand tools
Familiarity with cable/construction industry standards, a plus not required
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule when needed
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in elevated areas on ladders, in confined spaces, and tight areas for long periods
Interest and willingness to learn
Must be able to learn installation techniques quickly
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Operations and Location:
Hours of work may vary from week to week, including night and weekend work. Overtime may be required on short or no notice as deemed necessary by Management. Required to travel extensively.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $18.00 -- $22.00 per hour.
A valid driver's license is required, and you must pass a pre-employment motor vehicle report demonstrating a clean driving record. You must pass a background and drug screening.
