Description
We are in the market for a Field Services Network Technician to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. As a Field Services Network Technician, you will be responsible for leading the planning, installation, repair, and support of IT server, network and security systems, and low-voltage cabling. This role involves collaborating with multiple IT teams, liaising with vendors, and engaging with business stakeholders. You will be expected to establish, maintain, and retire IT facilities, ensuring timely delivery to internal customers and projects.
THIS ROLE REQUIRES UP TO 75% TRAVEL. When not travelling going into the office will be on an as needed basis.
POSITION: FIELD SERVICES NETWORK TECHNICIAN
LOCATION: DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX
DURATION: 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO PERMANENT
SALARY: 75K-85K
Responsibilities:
TRAVELLING TO MULTIPLE SITES THROUGHOUT THE US AS NEEDED
Undertake the installation and troubleshooting of IT server, security and network systems, and low-voltage and structured cabling.
Support in the configuration of network LAN/WAN and Infrastructure equipment.
Act as the primary liaison for assigned projects, coordinating activities across multiple teams.
Resolve customer issues by understanding the problem, determining root causes, researching solutions, and ensuring timely resolution.
Carry out maintenance related to IT facilities and networks across all company locations, including travel across the United States and Canada.
Keep accurate records of installation, inventory, and documentation.
Participate in on-call rotation for network monitoring and escalations.
Deploy burglar alarm, networked security cameras/recorders.
Requirements
Midlevel networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
Cradlepoint and access control systems
Preferred certifications: BICSI, CCNA, Network+
Access control system knowledge
MDF/IDF
Hardware installation
CAT5/CAT6 cabling
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
1-2 years of experience with structured cabling and cable management, not limited to aerial, buried and underground wiring.
1-2 years of installation and troubleshooting experience with IT systems/network equipment.
Experience with cellular data communications and cellular signal booster installation.
Experience working with Cradlepoint, HPE Aruba, Cisco Meraki network equipment
Proficient in utilizing technical tools such as cable testers and fiber testers preferred.
