What you'll do

  • ​Director in Revenue Management would support one of the following areas: Pricing and Yield Management, RM Development and Operations Research, Offer Management and Delivery Modernization, Revenue Analysis and RM Planning and Operations

  • Creates a relentless focus on marketplace execution by assessing the competitive marketplace

  • Identifies new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting

  • Develops managers and analysts to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility

  • Works closely with our Joint Business Partners and other Commercial leaders to drive revenue in the region

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Technical Masters in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

  • 7 years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Experience in Revenue Management, Finance, Network Planning or Sales Planning

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Ability to manage, motivate, coach and counsel a diverse team of managers and analysts

  • Understanding of airline economics and operations and revenue management techniques, and the ability to apply that knowledge to strategic problems

  • Prior experience in Revenue Management, Finance, Network Planning or Sales Planning preferred

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view

  • Willingness to take calculated risks, with consistent results-oriented performance

  • Display key attributes required by American Airlines: Personal integrity, respectful of others and their opinions, inclusive, team oriented, adaptable, positive and optimistic
