United Musculoskeletal Partners Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation in Dallas, Texas

SUMMARY

United Musculoskeletal Partners (UMP) is a management services organization (MSO) that supports orthopedic practices across the United States, committed to enhancing quality, access and convenience of orthopedic care.

This position will provide strategic and innovative clinical oversight and patient care. A current state licensure or certification as a physical therapist or occupational therapist is required. This is a working leadership role across several clinics as well as administrative oversight and encompasses strong leadership, clinical oversight staff development and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other specialized therapies aimed at optimizing patient recovery and function. This role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to orthopedic patients.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the quality and effectiveness of continuous improvement for rehabilitation services across multiple orthopedic clinics.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the rehabilitation team, including therapists, assistants, and support staff, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.

  1. Clinical Oversight:
  • Ensure the delivery of evidence based, patient centered rehabilitation services that meet the needs of orthopedic patients across the continuum of care.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans, incorporating the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities.

  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure documentation compliance with regulatory standards.

  1. Staff Development and Training:
  • Recruit, hire, and train rehabilitation staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Provide ongoing supervision, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and competencies, including oversight of CME for each team member.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and recognize staff achievements to promote a positive work environment.

  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation services, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvements aligned with clinical guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and licensure regulations governing rehabilitation services.

  • Conduct regular audits, analyze performance metrics, and implement ongoing quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.

  1. Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Foster collaborative relationships with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary communication and coordination of care.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and care planning meetings to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care delivery.

  • Serve as a resource and consultant to other departments on matters related to orthopedic rehabilitation and patient management.
