Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Dallas, Texas. We are seeking a Director of Accounting to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting and financial systems, ensuring they align with our real estate operations.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee all accounting operational functions including invoice processing, accounts receivable/payable, and budget reviews.

• Develop and maintain systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of the company's consolidated business results.

• Coordinate and strategize the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.

• Develop and monitor business performance metrics.

• Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.

• Collaborate with team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of company operations and policies.

• Leverage understanding of Real Estate industry trends and developments to drive company success.

Requirements • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management practices.

• Experience in the real estate and property industry is highly desirable.

• Proven knowledge and expertise in working with accounting software systems.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

• Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills.

• Strong analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in preparing financial statements and reports.

• Advanced understanding of tax codes related to property.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools as they become available.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
