Job Description:

Scottish Rite for Children's pediatric specialists are at the forefront of their profession and are recognized globally for their leadership. Our Developmental Disabilities division is seeking a physician with a background consistent with: a board-certified/eligible Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Pediatrician and/or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician; or a Fellowship-trained Complex Care Pediatrician to lead this dynamic team. Faculty appointment ranking in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics through The University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center will be based on experience.

As an institution committed to caring for complex conditions, the team conducts ongoing research to provide the most innovative treatment to this patient population. Our team collaborates with Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pediatric Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine, and other medical team members to provide care to the whole child. Inpatient and outpatient care is provided to Scottish Rite for Children patients.

Position Summary:

  • Provide patient care in an inter-disciplinary clinical setting

  • Provide training/education for residents, fellows, medical and graduate students

  • Initiate and lead research endeavors associated with the clinical cohort of patients seen through the Developmental Disabilities Division.

  • Attend and participate in Hospital meetings/conferences, divisional meetings, seminars, and other conferences as appropriate to the position.

  • Serve on Scottish Rite Hospital Committees as needed

    Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure to practice Medicine in Texas

  • Board certified/Eligible in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and/or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics; or Fellowship-trained in Complex Care Pediatrics.
