Service Cranes and Hoists for Morrow Equipment Company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide technical assistance to erect, climb, dismantle and perform maintenance and repairs to cranes and personnel/material hoists in district region and other locations as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including manufacturers published instructions, parts and equipment specifications, catalogs, manuals, etc.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hoist and crane systems.
  • Ability to service motor controls and diagnose electrical problems.
  • Proper loading of equipment on trucks for transporting equipment from jobsites.
  • Ability and willingness to assist District Service Manager and Shop/Yard Foreman with maintenance and repair of cranes and hoists when not assigned to a jobsite.
  • Ensure the maintenance and preventative maintenance is performed on all assigned tools.
  • Ensure all assigned lifting equipment is inspected and maintained in a safe operating condition.
  • Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, arc flash, etc.
  • Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or FR uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Understanding and compliance with Company policies, OSHA, Applicable ASME B30 safety standards, State and local specific safety regulations, and site-specific safety plans as they apply to crane and hoist erection, dismantle, climbing, maintenance and repair.
  • Notifies the District Service Manager or, if unavailable, the Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Service Manager or Vice President of Operations of unsafe conditions and/or practices.
  • Complying with safety regulations, standards and Company policies.
  • Responsible for timely completion and submission of required paper work and reports to the Corporate office.
  • Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work at heights as required
  • Ability and willingness to work extra hours, inclu ing overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Field Service Manager.

Requirements

::: {automation-id="job-requirements"} TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to operate all yard and shop equipment.
  • Requirement to maintain a Rigging and Signal Person certification (such as NCCCO or equivalent acceptable to Morrow)
  • Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Maintain a valid State drivers license and be insurable by the companys carrier.

In addition to the requirements above, you;

  • May be required to have a Forklift operators license.
  • May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Shift: As needed, this position occasionally requires you to work overtime in the shop or in the field, including some travel

**All of these are required in various percentages that differ according to the project assigned.
