Robert Half Controller in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a Controller, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, from managing accounts receivable and payable to ensuring compliance with local and federal government reporting requirements. You will also contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including but not limited to, managing billing, accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition

• Coordinate and manage the procurement to pay process

• Oversee the preparation and publication of monthly financial statements

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Research technical accounting issues for compliance

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Coordinate with outsourced bookkeeping team

• Perform additional controller duties as necessary Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role or similar financial leadership position

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Demonstrated ability to manage all Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Extensive knowledge of auditing, budget processes, and general ledger management

• Background in Public Accounting is essential

• Familiarity with CRM systems

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
