This job is a member of the Procurement team within our Finance division
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategic programs and contracts that directly affect the aircraft we fly and the services we provide
What you'll do
Create and manage strategies, RFPs, negotiations, and contracts
Negotiate, draft and finalize the critical elements of external supplier contracts in support of strategic objectives within Tech Ops
Types of initiatives that you will be responsible for supporting may include, but not be limited to: aircraft parts (purchase and aftermarket repair & overhaul (R&O) services), aircraft retrofits, ground service equipment (GSE), contract line maintenance, consulting, NDAs, and transportation
Develop and draft critical service level performance guidelines that support the operation, limit/reduce financial exposure, improve effectiveness and hold the supplier accountable
Develop and maintain supplier and internal stakeholder partnerships to create an environment of mutual success
Use data to analyze, develop, and present detailed cost analyses to internal leaders that meet/exceed key financial metrics and goals
Communicate regularly with management and company leaders as you execute the defined company and procurement strategies
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that their needs are fully met by the final agreement
Work closely with legal counsel to ensure the best terms and conditions for the company are achieved
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
3 years relevant work experience (internships okay)
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
At least 5 years working in a procurement, contract, supplier management, and/or strategic sourcing-type role
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, contract law and/or finance and/or a Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Previous aerospace and/or airline experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
High ethical standard
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data and technical tools for financial analyses, problem solving, and forecasting
Networking and relationship building skills
Knowledge of power-by-the-hour (PBH/RBTH) and cost-per-landing (CPL/CPAL) type agreements a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint & Teams)
Ability to work alone with little or no direction/supervision
Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks, exhibiting initiative and follow through
