Job Title: CNC Punch Press Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Punch Press Operator with at least 2 years of experience. This role requires a solid understanding of safety equipment, blueprint reading, and the operation of powered hand tools in a machining environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC Punch Press with precision and safety.

  • Utilize appropriate safety equipment in a machining environment.

  • Charge time to specific work orders and handle payroll system paperwork.

  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

  • Safely operate powered hand tools.

  • Perform overhead crane operations.

  • Conduct machine and area maintenance.

  • Read and understand 'G' code programming.

  • Use sensitive measurement equipment accurately.

  • Locate and transfer programs to execute specific jobs.

  • Load and properly position parts to execute specific programs.

  • Shim punches and dies as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a CNC Turret Punch Press Operator.

  • Proficiency in using a protractor and reading blueprints.

  • Capability to perform setups and edit programs.

  • Understanding of 'G' codes.

  • Great attention to detail and precision experience.

  • Ability to deburr punched parts.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with press brake, CNC Turret Punch Press, Amada Punch Press.

  • Knowledge of shear press and CNC brake press.

Work Environment

The facility, located in West Dallas, manufactures large HVAC Industrial Systems and is non-climate controlled. The work hours are from 5:00am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
