Forward Air Chief Commercial Officer in Dallas, Texas

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Forward Air & Omni Logistics will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving the company’s commercial strategy and leading its sales, marketing, and customer experience efforts. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, who can identify growth opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and position the company as a leader in the market.

Specific responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Align commercial objectives with the company's overall business goals and long-term vision.

  • Collaborate with other executives to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth and profitability.

Sales Management:

  • Oversee the sales team, setting performance targets and ensuring the execution of sales strategies.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company’s client base across different regions and industries.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Marketing & Branding:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and market presence.

  • Ensure the brand’s messaging is consistent and resonates with target audiences across all channels and products.

  • Monitor market trends and competitors, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Customer Experience:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all commercial activities are aligned with client needs and expectations.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of customer experience initiatives that drive loyalty and retention.

  • Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the customer experience based on client insights.

Revenue Optimization:

  • Drive the growth of top-line revenue through the development of pricing strategies, product offerings, and service expansions.

  • Champion sales generation and pipeline management. Ensure aggressive management of the backend sales process by developing leads, winning business, and re-invigorating the pipeline with new leads.

  • Analyze market data and customer insights to optimize revenue streams and maximize profitability.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages new ideas and approaches.

  • Ability to leverage marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market positioning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics or a related field; MBA and/or equivalent preferred.
