Texas Health Resources Charge RN (Registered Nurse)-Neuro-Trauma Intensive Care Unit (NT ICU)-PRN Days in Dallas, Texas

Our Trauma Intensive Care Unit is looking for a charge Nurse to share their skill and experience! The Charge Nurse role will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team. Schedule : PRN Days (7 AM -7 PM); as needed with some weekends and holidays requirements

​​​​​​​We’re so excited about our new 24-bed ICU that specializes in Trauma and Neuroscience patient populations. As a nurse on this unit, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth, career development, and outstanding support from our Neuro Providers and Trauma Providers. We offer 24/7 Trauma Intensivist and Neuro Critical Care Intensivist programs which provides exceptional critical care patient oversight. Our staffing ratio depends upon acuity and is typically 2:1.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree in Nursing required.

  • BSN preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) in an acute care setting required

  • 2 years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

  • Current RN licensure upon hire required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

  • BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support—Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. Individuals in this role will demonstrate
