Business Tax Services, Financial Services Office - Fiduciary/Trust and Estate Tax Administration Services (FTEAS) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1586245),

Assist with the management of the FTEAS business and assisting, the FTEAS leadership team in developing and implementing the overall strategy of the FTEAS business. Provide fiduciary/court accounting services for trusts and estates serving banks, law firms, family offices, and individual and professional trustees. Review and interpret accounting concepts and state/local filing requirements for accountings that are required to be filed in court. Review of complex trust, guardianship and estate accountings and fiduciary/court accounting matters. Research state specific principal and income acts for preparation and review of accountings. Review and interpret trust and estate documents, including trust instruments, wills, court documents, and IRS Forms 706, 1040, 1041 and K-1. Review and interpret source data (e.g., bank statements, brokerage statements, checking accounts), to determine proper treatment for accounting purposes. Participate in internal and external training to maintain and enhance knowledge of fiduciary accounting rules/concepts and software applications. Communicate with client liaison and/or client trust administration team on a regular basis. Communicate with immediate supervisor, and all department/company co-workers, including data entry staff. Responsible for start to finish of an accounting, including monthly billing.
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Law, History or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Law, History or related field and 4 years of related work experience.
Must have 4 years of fiduciary and/or court accounting experience at a professional services firm, bank, law firm or professional tax organization.
Must have 4 years of experience preparing complex trust and estate accountings, including forensic accountings, focused on at least 1 of the following: large family offices and private trust company clients with sophisticated assets, large volumes of transactions and related trusts, and/or accountings in litigation matters.
Must have 4 years of experience reviewing and interpreting trust agreements and estate planning documents.
Must have 4 years of experience with one of the following fiduciary trust software applications, including Thomson Reuters FAS accounting system, and/or Microsoft Excel.
Must have 2 years of experience supervising teams and reviewing the work of junior team members.
Must have 2 years of experience managing client relationships and networks.
Must have 2 years of experience in business development initiatives and developing operational efficiencies.
Must meet one of the following certifications: CPA certification, called to a U.S State Bar, a licensed Paralegal, or an Enrolled Agent.
Requires domestic and regional travel up to 10% to serve client needs.
