job summary:
A Building Mechanical Federal Engineer is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, Arlington, VA, Denver, CO, or Atlanta, GA areas. This role involves overseeing the design, coordination, and management of HVAC and plumbing systems for various building projects, ensuring compliance with codes, managing project schedules and budgets, and mentoring team members while presenting findings to stakeholders.

responsibilities:
Ensure project compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Create and maintain project schedules for mid-size to large projects.
Manage project team's scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Assist in producing HVAC and plumbing system deliverables for new buildings and renovations.
Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors.
Mentor and share knowledge with other staff members.
Oversee project energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis.
Desired Skills:
strong HVAC/Plumbing design capability.
Knowledge of building mechanical codes and load calculations.
Familiarity with sustainable design principles.
strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred design experience in Federal, European, or Civil Works projects, Building Controls Systems Design, or CFD modeling.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
