Overview

VOX Global, a bipartisan strategic communications firm, seeks candidates for our Behavioral Insights team. We’re looking for individuals passionate about using data to engage audiences on behalf of clients. Responsibilities include analyzing existing and new audiences, translating insights into actionable plans, and informing communications campaigns.

Using VOX’s consumer analytics, social analytics, and other tools, this person will be responsible for analyzing where and how to reach our clients’ existing audiences, identifying new audiences for them to engage, and understanding how audiences are engaging online. They will then help translate those insights from the data to develop actionable plans for our clients. Your insights and recommendations will inform paid media campaigns, earned media engagement, organic social development, grassroots activations, and more.

In addition to these analyses, the candidate may also be engaged with our paid media team in helping to produce post-campaign analyses, as well as with our broader public affairs team to conduct research that supports their efforts.

Time Period and location : through December 24, five days per week, at least 3 days in Dallas office

Responsibilities

  • Analyze social media to identify narratives, influencers and trends that impact how clients should engage. Identify actionable insights for client engagement.

  • Analyze consumer data to identify target audiences (demographics), how they engage (their interests), where they get their information (news, influencers).

  • Identify actionable insights from research and analysis conducted that are relevant to client and campaign.

  • Conduct research on policy and societal topics to support public affairs campaigns.

  • Analyze results from paid media efforts and build reports to summarize results, identifying insights for future campaigns.

  • Present results and recommendations to senior leaders in VOX and our clients.

  • Identify opportunities to connect disparate data and tools to integrate during campaigns.

  • Translate complex data findings into digestible narratives and actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing science, digital marketing analytics, data analytics, behavioral science, communications, or similar background.

  • Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft tools.

  • Candidate should be familiar with social listening tools, consumer research tools, or other similar tools that bring in data about audiences.

  • Familiarity with dashboard tools like Microsoft BI and Google Data Studio is a plus.

  • Familiarity with data analytics tools like R and Stata is a plus. However, this job does not currently require much use of those types of tools.

  • Candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage tasks across multiple projects.

  • Ability to be communicative, flexible and precise under aggressive deadlines and during high-pressure situations.
