AT&T AVP-Senior Legal Counsel - Cybersecurity in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

AT&T is looking for a cybersecurity attorney to provide legal advice on a wide range of cybersecurity issues, including regulatory compliance, incident response, data protection, vulnerability management, and supply chain security. As a cybersecurity attorney you’ll help develop and implement cybersecurity policies and security controls for employees, customers, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Your knowledge and expertise will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to address cybersecurity risks and develop risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will work with external affairs partners and government agencies to guide U.S. cyber policy at the federal and state level, including efforts to regulate critical infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity law, regulations, and deep knowledge of industry trends to provide informed and proactive legal advice.

• Strong knowledge of how law enforcement and the U.S. Intelligence Community interact with the private sector, specifically critical infrastructure entities.

• Juris Doctorate Degree is required.

• Significant prior government experience in the field.

• CISSP, CIPP, CISM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

• Clearance: Ability to obtain Top Secret/SI Security Clearance.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are a must.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization,

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

The position is based in Dallas or Washington DC, requiring approximately 3 days/week in the office and/or meeting in person with government agency personnel located in the greater DC area, with the remaining days working remotely.

AVP - Senior Legal Counsel - Cybersecurity Our AVP Senior Legal Counsel earn between $188,100 - $316,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
