Job Description:

The Assistant Director for International Partnerships and Exchange Programs at JSOM is responsible for working with the Associate dean to oversee the school’s international strategy in alignment with UTD’s goals. This includes managing international agreements, generating leads with partner institutions, and promoting JSOM programs globally.

The role involves facilitating and renewing academic partnerships, coordinating international student services, and ensuring positive experiences for both incoming and outgoing students. Additionally, the Assistant Director promotes global opportunities, manages international internships, and increases JSOM’s visibility through networking and branding events. They report on internationalization progress to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working in Higher Education.

  • 3-5 years of experience working on global initiatives and with global partners

  • Adaptable and able to quickly and effectively develop and balance multiple relationships, and get results from a variety of people

  • Basic presentation and facilitation skills

  • Basic project and time management skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong initiative, drive for results, and self-assessment skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer relationship management skills, and flexibility are a must
