  • This job is part of the Marketing Team within the Global Engagement Division

  • Responsible for working with a media agency in the planning, development and execution of paid search media supporting Brand, Route and Loyalty advertising campaigns. With a focus on building brand preference, driving AAdvantage enrollments, engagement and flight bookings, this role manages the media agency and partners to build and execute campaigns and measures their impact to maximize return on investment. Helps the team to innovate and stay on top of advertising trends and media best practices

What you'll do

  • Oversees media agency in the development and execution of annual paid search media strategy and plans supporting Brand, Route and Loyalty initiatives across multiple regions

  • Works with agency to define audience, channels, KPIs to meet campaign goals

  • Partners with media and creative teams to optimize channel placements

  • Manages audience targeting, leveraging 1P and 3P data where applicable and ensure privacy and legal compliance from American

  • Sets up appropriate tagging and landing pages to appropriately measure campaign and report back on results

  • Manages review and approval process with legal and other internal teams

  • Optimizes creative, ad copy, keywords, landing pages, and bidding strategies through the campaign duration

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training

  • 3 years of experience in a media agency or B2C marketing role with a focus on paid search media

  • Ad agency, Advertising, Loyalty or media planning background

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree

  • Media strategy, planning, advertising media agency experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to inspire, support and understand the interplay between people, processes and systems; must be a strong project manager

  • Excellent understanding of media and ability to foster collaboration between teams of marketing managers, strategists, and agencies

  • Ability to manage third party partners and gain project alignment

  • Solid understanding of paid search including KPIs and measurement

  • Understanding of advertising, media privacy and legal guardrails

  • Conscientious and adept at solving issues at all levels of a project

  • Collaborative with multiple stakeholders; communication and teamwork is critical

  • Top-notch written and verbal communication/presentation skills with a strong attention to detail
