Robert Half may have an excellent fitting Financial Analyst role for applicants with outstanding communication skills and a background in finance. Interested in joining an exciting company and growing team? Daily functions will consist of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. How you will make an impact

  • Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending

  • Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources

  • Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team

  • Enable successful Business Intelligence (BI) to deliver valuable foresight and decision support

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is comfortable with large amounts of information and adept at managing expectations

  • Ensure plans are properly executed by working with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations

  • Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting

  • Complete and direct forecasting reports

  • Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required

    Requirements - BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

  • Background in financial analysis and planning

  • Background in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly valued (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • General familiarity with Property Tax

  • Demonstrated knowledge of workers compensation

  • Command of Balance Sheets

  • Adeptness in Financial Statement

  • Budgeting experience highly preferred

  • Good understanding of account reconciliation

  • Experience with CPA

  • Earlier work involving US GAAP

  • Proficiency in month end closings

  • Income Statements experience

  • Analysis experience

  • Background working with Tax - Form 990

  • Comprehension of Microsoft Office

  • Solid understanding of journal entries

  • Previous experience working with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks

  • Microsoft Excel experience highly valued

  • Practical knowledge of forecasting

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
