Advancial Human Resources Generalist in Dallas, TX, Texas

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist manages the daily functions of the HR department including performance management, communications, employee relations, HRIS, and leads various company programs and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performance Management

  • Provides feedback to managers regarding the performance management system and process.Participate in understanding current processes and recommend system enhancements that will support overall business strategies and operation needs.

  • Maintains and updates the performance management system to accurately reflect the position and culture of the Credit Union.

  • Ensure employees and managers annual goals are listed in the employee incentive portal system and aligned to organizational needs. Provides end-of-year data to Compensation & Benefits team so employee incentive calculations can be done and paid timely.

Communications

  • Provides information updates, advice and general communications on all HR functions to the organization’s employees. Answers daily questions and requests for personnel services in a timely, accurate and productive manner.

  • Communicate emergency response announcements as requested. Update procedures to the process as needed.

Employee Relations

  • Oversees employee relations, complaints and investigations. Collaborate with the HR Director or VP – HR on matters of significance. Ensure employee complaints and investigations are resolved in a timely fashion.

  • Develops written policies and procedures to document HR standards and ensure management is properly trained on policies and procedures as needed.

  • Stays abreast of regulatory and organizational changes and manages updates to the Employee Handbook according to approved policy updates. In collaboration with Benefits and Compensation, updates the handbook on a bi-yearly basis.

Programs and Processes

  • Welcomes new hires and participates in the new employee orientation process.Fosters a positive culture throughout the organization.

  • Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities. Compares data from different sources to make conclusions. Recommends process improvements, innovative solutions, policy or procedure changes and/or major variations from established policy by presenting findings and recommendations to relevant team members and the Director of HR before implementation.

  • Manages company engagement survey and other relevant surveys that help maintain the organization’s retention and recruitment efforts. Provides recommendations for improvement and communicates to employees.

  • Oversees data collection for the Affirmation Action Plan. Coordinates the annual preparation, works with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure recruitment and selection practices comply with the Plan.

  • Oversees Advancial’s remote work program, Worker’s Compensation program and responds to notifications from state agencies regarding unemployment claims.

HRIS

  • Establishes, maintains and updates databases, spreadsheets and other background materials for proper records maintenance and reports creation including EEO, employee lists, change of status documents, job classification and wage changes, and turnover, among others.

Department Administration

  • Supports the Talent Acquisition Team to participate in second-round interviews on an as-needed basis.

  • Cross-trains to support other positions within the department.

  • Completes other department projects, initiatives, and duties as assigned

The pay for this position starts at $ 66,833.52 -$ 83,541.90 /yr. and is based on experience.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from an accredited four-year college or university; three (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years previous employee relations experience required. PHR Certification strongly desired.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • This is a hybrid role. Additionally, the individual must have the capacity and flexibility to work in multiple office locations, as needed.

  • Maintains an understanding of and competency with respect to software and other systems required to perform the duties of the position.

  • Demonstrated ability to absorb information quickly and translate it to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize multiple projects, handle time constraints and manage changing priorities.

  • Ability to present information in a professional manner.

  • Has attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Travel requirement are light but include traveling for additional training, seminars, or company events.

  • Out of state traveling may be required on occasion.
