Finance Officer

$53 -$80/year, based on experience

Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for administrative, bookkeeping, and accounting work. This job as a Finance Officer is a great opportunity for individuals who are adaptable and enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and responding to citizens in the area. Responsibilities:

• Answers calls and responds to citizens’ questions and concerns

• Process orders, data, prepares mailings/billing

• Collections of delinquent accounts

• Prepares legal notices

• Maintains financial data, prepares financial statements, and reports information in monthly meetings

• Develop and maintain documents and records

• Effectively manage confidential information and ensure legal compliance

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting/Business/Finance or related field and or 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position/governmental accounting

• Experience with budgeting, financial statements, and financial administration

• Previous management/supervisory experience is preferred

• Proficient with technology, able to effectively use a variety of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet, accounting, payroll, and utility software)

• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Compensation and Benefits:

• $53 - $80/year, based on experience
