Insight Global Secret Cleared Network Engineer in Dahlgren, Virginia

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Secret cleared Network Engineer. This individual will be responsible for planning, designing, and evaluating new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the internet providing analytical, technical, and administrative support. Responsible for planning, overseeing, developing, and implementing network policies and procedures and ensure network integrity as maintenance and modification projects to existing applications that are undertaken. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, installing, and upgrading network equipment and software. Creating and maintaining documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Responsible for establishing and documenting network technical support processes and procedures, monitoring and testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports, and lastly acting as a technical liaison between clients, customers, and vendors to resolve issues.

Salary ranges from $150,000-160,000 based on experience

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field

* Active secret clearance

* 6+ years of experience as a network engineer, ideally within the federal space

* Professional experience and high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications

* Proven hands-on network engineering experience

* Deep understanding of network protocols

* Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP model null
