Overview
Electrician II (FMSC-2024-21907)
Bowhead seeks a Electrician II to join our team in Dahlgren, VA in support of our NSWC Dahlgren Facilities Maintenance Support contract. The Electrician II is responsible for general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. They require advanced skills and knowledge in trades such as electrical work and will keep the Supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
Responsibilities
Licensed Electrician / Journeyman with residential or commercial electrical work experience, to include light panel work, adding and removing receptacles, outlets, verifying proper load on circuits, remove, dispose of light fixtures and install new lighting fixtures. Experience providing estimates on electrical material cost and time to complete projects.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of three(3) years' experience in Operations and Maintenance services supporting a military base or civilian installation.
Possession of a valid driver's license.
A minimum of one (1) year of successful (related) experience and performance in a military or civilian workforce preferred.
Emergency Management/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) experience, preferred.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently have a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
