Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conducts quantity takeoffs and reviews project plans/specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project's scope.

  • Generates takeoff reports for estimators and verifies their accuracy.

  • Monitors all addenda, scope changes and breakouts to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely manner.

  • Communicates with internal customers concerning issues with project specifications, project scope, reports, value engineering possibilities, timelines or other items pertaining to a bid.

  • Verifies the specifications summary and enters specifications summary data into takeoff software.

  • Identifies any missing pricing of labor, scope, and material.

  • Communicates with vendors and suppliers regarding missing pricing required to complete bids.

    Minimum Requirements

  • High School or GED is required.

  • Must understand commercial building and trade-specific codes and regulatory requirements.

  • Plumbing/Sheetmetal experience, 5 to 10 years.

  • Must be able to interpret blueprints, schematics, isometrics, and specifications.

  • Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and time management skills.

    • Pace: constant changing targets and quick turnaround is essential due to shifting priorities, changing client needs, and project specifications

    1. Key functional experience needs to include the basics: understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems while supporting a service sales team in the development and delivery of estimates and proposals.

    2. Time management is key: Organizational and time management skills to enable proper prioritization of workflow is key.

    3. Strong customer service skills & team dynamic: You will be a part of a fast-growing dynamic group of people and must have a positive customer-focused attitude. This role will interface with outside customers and support our sales team.
