Description
We are looking for a driven, collaborative, and highly skilled Engineering Program Manager to lead regulatory programs, projects, and initiatives in the satellite strategy space. The ideal candidate will establish strong relationships with partners, understand their goals and objectives, and help navigate conflicts and competing priorities with diplomacy and data-driven insights. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams on wireless regulatory and international spectrum matters to develop Apple’s Satellite Strategy and advocating our approach to external stakeholders and policymakers. Drive program objectives and schedules by working closely with highly skilled Apple engineers, architects, operations teams, product design teams, wireless spectrum engineers as well as external partners and regulators. Play a critical role in orchestrating long-term changes in the satellite space, including wireless regulations and spectrum policy. In this role you would be guiding teams to achieve favorable outcomes in regulatory proceedings within international and national regulatory bodies, all while remaining flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty. Lead the planning, management, and execution of regulatory projects of varying size and scope. Ensure project activities are well communicated prior to the start, during, and after the project completes. Identify, automate, track, and report on project and program metrics for continuous analysis and improvement. Partner with teams across Apple to drive critical regulatory activities, fostering collaboration across varying priorities and business interests.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
5+ years of relevant RF/Wireless/Satellite experience in communications and/or hardware technology industries
5+ years of experience running global multiple end-end complex technical and non-technical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Experience working on regulatory and compliance-focused projects.
Demonstrated track record in regulatory and spectrum procedures
Ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations and fostering team collaboration.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to clearly organize and convey information across functions and levels.
Excellent organization skills with acute attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
MSEE/MBA preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of hardware manufacturing processes
Technical project/product management experience
Experience in one or more of: terrestrial wireless regulation, satellite regulation, international spectrum policy, regional regulatory groups, RF Design/architecture, wireless system design, or related field
Participation in ITU-R working parties and study groups

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
