Description

You will work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to develop and integrate best in class automation tools. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving software infrastructure. You will ensure high quality and agility with software architecture, unit, integration, validation, and automation tests. Passion about developing tools and process for increase efficiency Strong interests in developing new automation features, maintaining existing code, and fixing bugs Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Good at documenting and presenting software architecture and decisions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency on Python programming

  • Experience with other languages a plus (C/C++, MatLab or similar)

  • Experience with database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)

  • Experience developing test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.

  • Experience using, and a basic understanding of the theory of operation of, wireless test lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, power meter).

  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant proven experience.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running automated testing systems and robots

  • Knowledge of large data storage a plus (Amazon S3 or similar)

  • Knowledge of web based applications like REST APIs

  • Passion for software architecture, APIs and high performance modular software

  • Basic knowledge of Inductive or Wireless Power Transfer is an advantage

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
