Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our construction company. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all the company's financial procedures, from accounts payable to payroll. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage entire financial procedures including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, bank reconciliations, and payroll. Maintain financial statements, ledgers, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date. Coordinate with other departments, suppliers, and clients for account settlements. Assist in the budget planning, and preparation of cash flow forecasts. Analyze costs of operations and suggest cost-saving measures. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws regarding finances and taxation. Assist with auditing and tax preparation tasks. Carry out journal entries and post debits and credits. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. Prepare documents for submission to the company's external accountant for tax preparation. Requirements Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a construction company. Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial reports. Personal and detail oriented integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge in construction accounting is a plus. The full charge bookkeeper will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and success of our business, and by extension our team.
