This team is responsible for defining and implementing the core user experience for Siri.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience crafting interactive and dynamic visual interfaces using Metal or equivalent graphics APIs

  • Development experience at the application level with Objective-C or Swift

  • Knowledge of fundamental Apple’s development APIs such as UIKit, Grand Central Dispatch, Foundation, XCTest, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment

  • Knowledge of modern object-oriented architecture and design

  • Passionate about creating great customer experiences

  • 5+ years of experience in UI development and visual interfaces preferred

Description

You will primarily be responsible for implementing features for the Siri user experience. This is a broad-range task; to succeed in this role, you must be a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. You love building an elegant user experience for a distributed system at massive scale, pursuing impossible problems. You enjoy learning new technologies and creating life-changing applications. You possess strong skills in object-oriented software design and programming. Performance analysis and tuning will also be a significant responsibility in your job, building on a deep understanding of common data structures, algorithms, and their performance implications. You are passionate about working closely with the design team to develop new user experiences, maintaining existing code, and creating new UI/UX platform features & technologies. You'll ship code that runs on the devices you use every day and powers products that are important to the lives of millions of users.

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
