Our Timbrook Honda location is seeking a skilled and dedicatedPowersports Service Technician to join our dynamic team.If you have a passion for powersports vehicles and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you!

As aHonda Powersports Service Technician,you will have the opportunity to participate in and learn many aspects of the dealership. In addition to performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on customer motorcycles you will learn the parts and inventory system, assist in shipping and receiving, and maintain shop equipment and facilities. Although we specialize in Honda we do repairs of all brands of Motorcycles, ATVs, Scooters, and Side by Sides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other issues in powersports vehicles. Perform necessary repairs and replacements of parts/components as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake adjustments, and tire replacements to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks on all serviced vehicles to ensure they meet company and manufacturer standards before returning them to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings. Complete service reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and maintenance tasks. Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and disposal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized and neat workstation.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date of rapidly changing powersports technology.
  • Maintain value, quality, and integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a powersports service technician or similar role preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of powersports vehicle systems and components.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must hold a motorcycle endorsement or must be willing to get within 90 days of employment.
  • Availability Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and later if necessary.
  • A passion for automotive sales and customer satisfaction, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing industry trends and technologies.
