Amazon Content Acquisition Manager, Prime Video in Culver City, California
Description
Prime Video is seeking a creative, savvy and analytically-minded digital content executive to join our content acquisition team. This leader will be responsible for helping to define and execute content acquisition strategies for Prime Video Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The ideal Content Acquisition Manager will be a critical thinker who has an attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities, is cool under pressure and isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up as needed. This position must have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate thoughts and ideas, both written and verbally, operate in a fast-paced environment and think outside of their direct sphere of responsibility.
This position will be located in Culver City, CA but will work with teams in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Key job responsibilities
Execute international SVOD content licensing agreements on behalf of Prime Video with local and global partners
Develop content acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management
Establish and manage strong relationships with content providers at a senior level
Lead all aspects of content licensing negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements
Use data on customer behavior, usage and consumption to inform decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Prime Video to define content strategies and to execute content licensing agreements (e.g., legal, finance, marketing, etc.)
Work closely with Prime Video leaders to develop new services and product offerings
Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of account management, business development, content licensing or finance experience
Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in negotiating contracts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $78,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $167,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
