This role will focus on making app recommendations, creating content across platforms, collaborating with developers, and growing the App Store business. Description

The App Store Editor will work within a team of app experts to research, test, curate, and create content for new app releases and major updates. As a team, we engage in healthy debate over what to feature and where. Our recommendations drive programs such as App of the Day, Editors’ Choice, and along with our Games and International colleagues, the App Store Awards. This Editor will work cross-functionally with App Store Business, Marketing, and Production teams as well as external developer partners to track roadmaps, organize upcoming priorities, and identify trends and content opportunities. We aim to ensure users know the most exciting things happening with apps at all times. With a focus on expanding Editorial reach and growing the App Store’s impact for the developer community, a successful candidate will have experience in data analysis and other growth-related skills. We’re looking for a combination of critical thinking and problem solving skills, A/B testing, SEO, subscription retention and acquisition, Excel (especially working with large data sets), and previous experience with content analytics tools. App Store Editors are storytellers. Being able to marry the more subjective aspects of editorial with objective data insights is essential. This role requires presenting well-designed and polished decks to peers and up to executive-level leaders. Crucial to this role is the ability to think globally. The App Store Editor will work with teams around the world on high-pressure projects with extremely tight deadlines. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships without ever meeting in person is key.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of work experience in editorial, content marketing, or related field

  • Passion and curiosity for apps and technology!

  • Deep understanding of the Business, Productivity, and Finance app landscape

  • Experience creating, managing, and publishing content using a CMS

  • Familiarity with data analysis and distilling complex datasets into easy-to-digest formats

  • Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in Keynote

  • Excellent understanding of UI/UX principles, Apple frameworks, and iOS, iPadOS, and macOS capabilities

  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to thrive in an environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Audience development, ideally in both business and consumer-facing environments

  • Previous experience with SEO and A/B testing

  • BA/BS preferred, or equivalent work experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $119,200 and $225,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
