Cullman County Commission CARTS Driver - Part time in Cullman, Alabama
The Cullman County Commission is hiring a Part Time CARTS Driver/CARTS Driver Trainee. The CARTS Driver is required to have a Class B CDL, the trainee will be required to obtain one as a condition of employment. The employee is responsible for driving vehicle, carrying out pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keeping vehicle clean, keeping updated reports concerning vehicles and monies (fares), assisting passengers within established guidelines. Works Monday through Friday. Hours vary. Will be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
Requirements for position:
- Must have a valid CDL with passenger endorsement and a minimum of three (3) years experience as a CDL Driver utilizing that passenger endorsement.
- Must have a safe driving record and be insurable with the County's insurance carrier.
- On-call at all times for emergencies.
- Must be able to remember addresses and directions.
- Must be willing to work different shifts.
- Must have the knowledge to understand and follow rules and regulations of defensive driving.
- Must have the ability to operate a MDC properly and to maintain proper paperwork.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
This is a "Safety-Sensitive" position. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical. The employee will be subject to random and routine unannounced drug screening throughout their employment with the County in a "Safety-Sensitive" position.
