Description We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the metal fabrication industry, located in Cudahy, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing full cycle accounts payable processes, such as data entry, invoicing, matching, batching, and coding of invoices. You will also be expected to handle check runs and maintain a fairly manual software system. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes.

• Accurately perform data entry and manage related tasks.

• Handle invoicing, matching, batching, and coding of invoices.

• Conduct regular check runs.

• Maintain a fairly manual software system for accounting purposes.

• Utilize Excel for various tasks and reports.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Familiarity with the metal fabrication industry

• Proven ability to process invoices and expense forms

• Experience in maintaining ledger accounts by posting account transactions

• Ability to verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions

• Proficiency in data entry and management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
