SUMMARY

The Engineer Assistant must have electronic background. Literacy in electronic component and technical data sheets, assembly drawings, and the complete understanding of revision control, the ability to manage time, pay attention to detail while remaining flexible. Knowledge of Unipoint Software and Sage is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude all of DDC functions in addition to the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Ability to interpret component data sheets, assembly drawings, Gerber files, schematics and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Through understanding of all electronics manufacturing requirements and processes
  • Create / verify internal component part numbers based on component specification
  • Create BOM's, Routing steps and calculate run times
  • Create temporary deviations
  • Create quality alert documents
  • Create work instructions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of experience
  • 18 years or older due to hazardous occupation
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
  • Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment and in conjunction with delivery schedules and customer requirements
  • Highly flexible in a fast-paced continuously changing environment
  • Employer conducts drug screen and background check

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced understanding of all electronics manufacturing requirements and processes
  • Creation / verification of internal component part numbers based on component specification
  • Creation of BOM's, Routing steps and calculate run times
  • Creation temporary deviations / Quality Alerts and ECO's
  • Creation of work instructions
  • Understanding of AS9100, IPC-A-600, ISO13485, FDA, ITAR

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a manufacturing environment, maybe exposed to dust, orders, and fumes, and the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Employer has dress code;
    • Must be able to wear ESD protective garment, including ESD Smoth, foot and wrist straps, and protective safety glasses.

Work Schedule: Full time

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year. DOE
