Description

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant in Croton on Hudson. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves various administrative tasks in a school environment. The job functions include reporting, list management, photocopying, phone handling, parent interaction, filing, and envelope stuffing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communication with parents, providing them with necessary school information

• Operate office equipment such as photocopiers, to produce copies for teachers

• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, providing information as required

• Maintain and update class lists, ensuring accuracy at all times

• Perform filing tasks, making sure all documents are properly stored and easily retrievable

• Prepare envelopes for mailing, including stuffing and addressing envelopes

• Compile reports as directed, providing accurate and timely information

• Manage scheduling tasks, ensuring all appointments and meetings are logged

• Perform other administrative tasks as required, ensuring smooth functioning of the office

• Use Administrative Office and Filing skills to effectively complete task

Requirements • Proven experience in an Administrative Office role or similar.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Hands-on experience with office equipment.

• Professional attitude and appearance.

• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• High school degree; additional qualifications as an Administrator or Executive Assistant are a plus.

• Filing and record keeping skills.

• Ability to work within a team and independently.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing work environments and schedules.

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
