Delaware North Gaming is hiring a General Manager to lead our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. As General Manager, you will be accountable for maintaining and enhancing the market position of Mardi Gras Casino as a premier operation for Hotel and Racing in a cost-effective and profitable manner.

Delaware North operates Mardi Gras Casino and Resort dating back to 2018. Located 14 miles west of Charleston, West Virginia, Mardi Gras features more than 25 table games, a poker room, more than 850 slot machines, live greyhound racing, and off-track betting for both greyhound and horse racing; several restaurants and a 150-room hotel.

  • Provide direction in the operation of gaming, racing, and non-gaming departments.

  • Establish and administer procedures pertaining to profitability of operating areas, safety, employee relations, guest relations, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and the security of company funds and assets.

  • Direct, guide, counsel and instruct the day-to-day operations through assigned department leaders.

  • Develop and maintain employee culture, professional development, morale, and engagement.

  • Stay aware of competitive operations and recommend appropriate action in accordance with a sound marketing plan.

  • Monitor financial performance of all areas against planned performance, taking action to improve performance where necessary.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of gaming laws and regulations applicable to areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure that all assigned departments are staffed with team members who have the skills and aptitude to meet our standard of excellence.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration/related field or a minimum of 10 years of casino management experience at a senior level.

  • Hold a West Virginia Commission License and Lottery Gaming Permit.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism with the ability to work calmly in difficult, high-pressure, and high-stress situations.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively and demonstrate sound business judgment and determination.
