Actalent Electrical Drafter in Cressona, Pennsylvania

Job Description

We are seeking a consultant to provide electrical drafting support to help us with an incoming plant expansion. This role involves using AutoCAD to create single line diagrams, schematic drawings, I/O lists, and conduit schedules. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment, specifically a foundry. This is a 2-year contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Create single line diagrams.

  • Develop schematic drawings and I/O lists.

  • Prepare conduit schedules.

  • Spend time on the plant floor for measurements.

  • Collaborate with engineers and drafters.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Experience in electrical design and schematic creation.

  • Degree in EMET, EE, or CAD.

  • 0-5 years of experience with AutoCAD for electrical design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and analytical.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Good communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Location: Air-conditioned office adjacent to the mill--Near Pottsville, PA

  • Dress Code: Casual, jeans allowed.

  • Team: 8 engineers and 3 drafters (1 specializing in electrical work).

  • Work Distribution: 70% desk-based, 30% shop floor.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 2 years.
