ManTech Systems Administrator in Crane, Indiana

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team at in Crane, IN.

Job Summary:

The employee in this position will support a team providing IT services to NSWC Crane. In this position you will be responsible for systems integration in the environments, troubleshooting, patching, configuration management, and maintaining various lab applications amongst other tasking.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process Service Manager tickets and system hardening per DoD standards to meet required compliancy

  • Ensure that appropriate STIGs processes are performed and adhered to

  • Install software applications that provide or enhance the security of individual platforms, systems and/or networks

  • Provide support in the documentation and information removal of hard drives, tape, and optical disc in accordance with local and DOD policy to enhance the data integrity

  • Provide hardware and software support for network connected workstations, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure devices, developer devices, and applications to ensure that operability requirements are up to date and that the devices meet hardware configuration requirements

  • Maintain the user documentation in an effective manner and ensure all new development, maintenance, and enhancement changes as a result of this tasking are incorporated

  • Plan and schedule the installation of hardware, operating systems, applications software and manage computer accounts, privileges, and access to systems and equipment

  • Provide direct support by determining the needs and problems experienced by the end user

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited college or university, OR, an Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience, OR, a High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience, in lieu of bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience providing Systems Administration or related duties

  • Must possess a DoD Approved 8570 Baseline IAT level II certification (Sercuity+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working in Customer Service and Technical Support role.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
