Precise Systems is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to be responsible for designing and implementing digital signal processing algorithms for various applications. This job requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as expertise in digital signal processing techniques and tools. The engineer will follow the evolution of advanced communication threats, stay abreast of the trends and planning of advanced communication standards, and provide support and analysis on the near term and future trends. Conduct research and provide analysis on the evolution of advanced communication threats. This includes support for technique improvement, technique development, technique integration, and support for lab and field-testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop signal processing algorithms for wireless communication applications.

  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate DSP software into overall system architecture.

  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization of DSP algorithms to ensure efficient operation in real-world environments.

  • Implement and test DSP algorithms on target hardware platforms.

  • Participate in code review and provide technical assistance to other team members.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of DSP

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Expertise in signal processing theory, algorithms, and implementation techniques.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Matlab, and Python.

  • Experience with DSP hardware and software development tools such as DSP processors, development kits, and IDEs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Must be comfortable developing and presenting briefings

Desired Experience:

  • Three or more years of experience with modeling systems or tools.

  • Hands-on laboratory/field experience.

  • Experience developing or integrating physics-based models in simulation frameworks.

  • Experience with wireless communication protocols and Electronic Warfare exploitation.

  • Experience with radar or EW signal generation techniques and performance analysis tools and models (MATLAB or Python).

  • Understanding of EW impacts on radar hardware and electronic Protection (EP) algorithms.

  • Detailed design or hands on hardware test experience.

  • Digital implementation work on FPGAs (or equivalent)

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Enhancing skills in applying machine learning techniques to signal processing tasks.

  • Understanding how artificial intelligence can enhance signal processing capabilities.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
