SAIC is seeking an Aerospace Electronics Technician to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide test and evaluation, troubleshooting, lot acceptance, qualification, engineering analysis, documentation, procedure/process creation, shipment/receipt and vendor coordination of aircraft system NiZn and NiCad cells/batteries.

• Provide test and evaluation of various battery chemistries, including Li-ion, Lithium Iron Disulfide, Lithium Calcium and Lead Acid.

• Support battery testing that will consist of testing temperature/humidity cycling, pressure/altitude, acceleration, vibration, and mechanical shock.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :

• HS/GED and five (5) years related experience; OR Associates Degree in Electronics or related field and three (3) years’ experience.

• 5 years practical experience in a power source laboratory (preferred).

• Experience required in Microsoft Excel and Word, and any experience with batteries is a plus.

• Ability to read electrical drawings.

• Must have excellent communication skills.

• Candidate must be a US citizen.

• Ability to obtain a Full DoD Secret Clearance . SAIC will sponsor qualified candidates.
