About the role: As an Application Architect you will play a critical role in software development. By designing applications, creating technical specifications and plans, collaborating with development and operations teams, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards, the architect ensures that the solution is developed and deployed. While there is likely to be limited, if any, hands-on development, knowledge of software development practices is required to make sure the solution is designed and that the developers work to the highest quality. You will report to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA office. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 remote. Key Responsibilities:

Write detailed solution/application designs documents, specifically the logical and physical design of an application, and application integrations with other applications, databases, cloud services and partners.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that the solution being built meets user requirements and is scalable, reliable, and maintainable.

Refine and define the development process lifecycle by applying best practices to Enterprise Architecture standards and understanding of the other Information Technology standards.

Communicate solution designs with partners and project teams, and monitor application development stages, resolve problems and ensure satisfactory completion.

Performs application and other technology research necessary to write technical designs and convey solution and business processes to stakeholders.

Provides peer reviews of application design specifications, drawings, and other solution artifacts.

Provide technical support and mentoring to business process owners and analysts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent technical experience.

5+ years of experience

Knowledge developing solutions based on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) application and custom applications.

Knowledge integrating software-as-a-service (SAAS) to other applications and cloud applications and services.

Knowledge of system architectures such as microservices, service-oriented architecture, which are necessary for ensuring that applications are designed and developed according to the industry best practices.

Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including SAP #LI-hybrid Why Westinghouse?
