Classic Air Medical is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time PC-12NG and PC-12 Legacy Captains for Single Pilot Air Ambulance operations at our Cortez Colorado base.

Being an air ambulance Fixed Wing pilot for Classic Air Medical, an Intermountain Health company, can offer an amazing 'Work/Life Balance' while earning a six-figure income working 185 days a year with stability and job security. Total compensation range $115,874 to $162,740.

This position offers an equal time on and time off schedule, with company provided crew housing while on shift. Competitive compensation, with group health, dental, and vision benefits available.

Our total compensation package includes:

Base salary ranges from $85,874 to $122,740 (based upon $39.32 - $56.20 per hour working 2184 hours per year). Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

Sign-On Bonus - $50,000 paid over 2 years. 1st payment - $25,000 paid on the next paycheck following 90-days after a successful Part 135 checkride. 2nd payment - $12,500 paid after the completion of 12-months of employment. 3rd payment - $12,500 paid after the completion of 24-months of employment.

Staffing Incentive - $30,000 per year staffing incentive, paid equally among 26 pay periods starting on the first paycheck. $1,153.85 per paycheck

Location Stipend - $10,000 location stipend offer for those that reside within 60 minutes of the Cortez airport. $384.61 per paycheck

Relocation Allowance Paid upon receipts being submitted up to $7,500

JOB DESCRIPTION

Successful candidates must be able to operate the aircraft safely, in all weather conditions, in accordance with applicable regulations, company policies and procedures, with minimal supervision. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with the Field Operations Managers, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations, and the Crews and Flight Coordination department. This position requires the applicant to possess excellent professional flying skills with emphasis on a strong single-pilot IFR capacity, the ability to handle periods of high workloads, and the ability to work closely with medical personnel throughout all phases of the mission.

Minimum Requirements:

2500 Total Time 1000 Total PIC 500 Total Turbine PIC 500 Total Multi PIC 200 Night 300 Instrument The ability to obtain a Second-Class Medical Commercial Certificate with appropriate category and class ratings, Instrument Airplane, or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate class ratings. Preferred Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Operate and navigate aircraft safely and efficiently Perform pre-flight inspections and checks Communicate with air traffic control and follow their instructions Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers or cargo on board Respond to any in-flight emergencies or malfunctions Maintain accurate records of flight logs, fuel usage, and maintenance activities

Experience:

Must have a valid pilot's license issued by the appropriate aviation authority - Previous experience as a pilot is required, preferably in a similar aircraft type - Strong knowledge of navigation systems, instruments, and aviation regulations - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills to manage
