POSITION: Detention Deputy

DUTIES: Performs functions related to managing inmates; including: taking custody of inmates, conducting searches, completing required documents, patrolling detention facility, using force to maintain order and gain inmate compliance with lawful orders, and all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS: Must have one to two years of progressively responsible related experience; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to preform the essential functions of the job. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or GED.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. Colorado Peace Officers Standards and Training Peace Officer Certification is desirable. Must possess firearms certification, radar certification, and first aid and CPR certification.

WAGE: Pays $22.52 to $26.84 per hour, wage is dependent on experience.

SHIFTS: This is a full time position. Days and hours will vary. Will be working 40 plus hours per week.
