Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Metal Fabricator with strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with assembly tasks and capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. Candidates must provide ITAR documentation, such as a US birth certificate or passport.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machines, hand tools, and pneumatic tools.

  • Heat, bend, form, press, stretch, shrink, straighten, notch, punch, roll, cut, refine, grind, drill, machine or otherwise change the shape of sheet metal or extruded metal products.

  • Use precision and standard measuring tools.

  • Read and comprehend customer specifications, engineered drawings, and operation sheets.

  • Move around the work floor as needed for production demands.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience with hand tools and assembly.

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

  • Basic math skills, including decimals, percentages, and fractions.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Computer skills - able to learn new software programs and internal ERP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 to 12 months’ manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.

  • HS Diploma or GED required.

  • Geometry and trigonometry knowledge preferred.

Work Environment

You will be working in a 100% manufacturing environment near moving mechanical parts. You will be exposed to wet/humid conditions and airborne particles, with a loud noise level requiring hearing protection. Safety glasses and fully enclosed shoes with a steel or composite toe cap are mandatory in all manufacturing areas. Openings are available on all shifts: 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm), and 3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coxsackie, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.16
