Job Summary

The Project controls Specialist is responsible for planning, monitoring & controlling deliverables including EPC project designs requirements for high voltage projects. This position is accountable for ensuring adherence to company’s quality controls guidelines and supporting PMs to ensure projects timely completion and under budget.

What we Offer:

The hourly rate for this position starts at $18- $20 per hour - Commensurate, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications. We also offer semi-annual profit-sharing bonuses based on company profits to share in the mutual success! In the past, these have ranges between 3.5% - 11.5% of annual salary.

Who You Are

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent

  • Willing to Learn

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Primavera P6/MS Projects is preferred, but it is not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and drive engineering schedules for various sized transmission & distribution projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities located throughout the US

  • Provide analysis of schedule data to identify key project issues from project inception to completion.

  • Verify project progress and review performance trends

  • Investigate causes of variances, in each project, between planned and actual progress and document discoveries

  • Identify, analyze, and document project schedule variances and conclude on possible impacts

  • Develop and produce project schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review: which includes project status for planned vs. actuals, and critical path items

  • Interface directly with the client and internal management to report project progress across a portfolio of electrical distribution projects

  • Obtain updates from Subcontractors along with analyzing the updates for variances
