The Estimating Project Manager plays a pivotal role in preparing detailed and accurate bid proposals. Collaborating closely with the Estimate and Contracts Manager, engineering teams, and subcontractors, this role ensures seamless project coordination from initial RFP review to final proposal submission.

Competitive compensation: The salary range for this position is $85,000 - Commensurate, depending on relevant experience, education, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Preparation: Organize RFPs, coordinate team meetings, and manage timelines to ensure comprehensive bid submissions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers (Civil, Electrical, T-Line, Relay), procurement, and scheduling teams to align on project requirements.
Subcontractor Management: Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor quotes to identify the best options for each project.
Document Coordination: Assemble and organize engineering drawings, schedules, outage plans, and scopes of work for proposals.
Finalization: Lead team meetings to refine bid documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment before submission.
What You Bring
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
Experience: 15+ years in project management/estimating for utility work or 20+ years as a Project Superintendent in the utility industry.
Skills:
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in critical thinking, decision-making, and attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to foster teamwork across diverse groups and remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical engineering background.
PMP certification.
Ability to delegate effectively and support employees across time zones.
