Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Covington, Kentucky
Description Our ideal Bookkeeper candidate will be able to thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision while performing as a self-driven and organized accounting professional. Our client is in current pursuit for a qualified Full Charge Bookkeeper. In this role, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will direct journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Covington, Kentucky area. Apply as soon as possible!
Major responsibilities
Supervise monthly accounting close
Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Prepare cash flow projections, as needed
Get ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Enter budget transfers
Prepare cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Summarize business license and gross receipts
Sustain Accounts Payable
Capable in credit card management and reconciliation
Familiar with Accounts Receivable
Secondary assignment when necessary
Classify sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments Requirements
Strong organization skills
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Great attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Peachtree Sage experience
Well-founded grasp of payroll
Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration
Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
