Manager, Demand Planning

The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for the ownership over category-based demand planning related activities across the Americas region. This includes implementing demand planning strategies, demand planning processes, and executing top down/bottoms up SKU level forecasts that support customer service, inventory and cost objectives across a 12-18 month planning horizon. They will collaborate with the appropriate leaders of cross-functional teams to ensure agreed processes and procedures are in place to support: Sales, Customer Service, Inventory management, and Business process improvements. In addition, they will effectively handle communication of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and improvement plans as part of the monthly S&OP process.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

Lead the team through monthly demand planning processes which includes building forecasts, analyzing forecasts, making recommendations, and incorporating historical and market intelligence data into current forecast.

Lead and coach the Apparel team in the use of planning tools and statistical forecasts models to develop accurate forecasts and continuously drive improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Manage and execute new Demand Planning Strategies from the ground up. Develop meaningful business analyses and metrics to drive consensus-based forecasts, provide visibility to forecast accuracy and communicate findings to all levels of the organization.

Responsible for the consolidation of forecasts across the America’s region Wholesale, eCom and Retail channels to deliver a consensus demand plan that is the single source for operational planning across supply chain.

Responsible for consolidation of global forecasts to deliver to sourcing for min reviews, capacity planning and operational planning across global supply chain. Support director sponsored projects and/or process improvements. Partner with Supply Chain and Marketplace teams to optimize inventory levels to help achieve financial objectives. Responsible for evaluation and development of staff.

A successful Demand Manager will deeply understand current marketplace and product trends to provide recommendation on future needs, while working collaboratively and handling projects of the highest complexity to deliver enterprise objectives annually.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in supply chain management, engineering, or operations logistics business or related field.

  • APICS or IBF certification is preferred

  • ERP and Demand/Supply planning systems experience preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel is required

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  • What we expect you already know: Relevant work experience in forecasting and planning with understanding of the various phases of product development, planning and production, as well as effects on supply chain. Strong collaboration skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex data and make sound decisions and recommendations.

Hiring Range :

$103,680.00 USD - $129,600.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
