WHAT YOU’LL DO:

This position will own all specs, grades, fit sessions and will communicate clear fit comments in Centric PLM, to ensure proper understanding of corrections needed for next sample stage. The role of Global-Fit Tech will be responsible for managing any construction improvements and will work closely with Design and product development to collectively make great quality apparel. There is opportunity for additional breadth of responsibilities in this role as we continue to grow all brands.

  • New style set up with specs in Centric PLM, including pattern creation for factory.

  • Manage/Maintain all specs and grades from initial set up through production, proto’s, sealing samples, PPs and Graded Nests.

  • Prepares and leads fittings for specific product, reviews issues ahead of time and measure garments if needed.

  • Ensures owned product is received and on fit list, following priorities.

  • Communicates all fit and construction related comments for the vendor and internal teams within development and production timelines and in a professional and timely manner.

  • Establishes and maintains fit, construction standards and blocks to ensure brand fit consistency and quality, by creating and maintaining “Block Fit Library.”

  • Responsible for managing and meeting all deadlines along with communicating any issues, to supervisor and cross functional teams (design & PD).

  • Works to improve fit and quality through review of customers comments, sales feedback, and understanding of competition.

  • Complete understanding and knowledge of Patternmaking and pattern corrections as well as Grading.

  • Must be organized with time management and have attention to detail.

  • Full understanding of styles, historical issues, understanding of fabrications, strong written and verbal communication internally and externally with vendors

  • Must be a team player, able to work closely with other team members to help manage overall workload with regards to construction, fit, approvals, comments, timelines, etc.

  • Responsible for providing all product related details/Specs (inseam, HPS length, etc.)

  • for catalog / website.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Degree in patternmaking, Technical Design or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience as Fit Tech.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross functional teams (design, development and production)

  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Must be able to work proficiently in Outlook/Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator

  • Knowledge of computer patternmaking a must, Gerber or Optitex.

  • Knowledge of Centric or PLM is a plus.

  • Experience communicating with vendors overseas.

  • This position requires some hours at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely.

Liberated Brands is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Costa Mesa, CA is $65k - $80k. This position is Hybrid and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skill set, certifications, and specific work location.
