Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking an electro-mechanical assembler to help build large transformers. This role includes wiring transformers, installing circuit breakers, contactors, sheet metal, and circuit boards. Familiarity with wiring larger cables (2 AWG) is required.

$30 - $31/hr

1st shift 6am to 2:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Follow work assignments, directions, instructions, and Work Order Schedule provided by the Production Lead.

  • Be familiar with wire gauges (AWG).

  • Work with terminals, pins, lugs, and connectors typically used for wire harness fabrication.

  • Review Assembly Instructions, Engineering Drawings, or Notes on the BOM (where available).

  • Use hand crimpers to create discrete wires and harnesses.

  • Assemble some electronics subassemblies to install harness.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work area/room/station.

  • Ensure efficiency requirements and quality standards are met on a regular basis.

  • Follow Safety requirements and all Safety policies.

  • Determine job order requirements following the Production priorities.

Essential Skills

  • Electro-mechanical assembly background

  • Crimping

  • Wiring

  • Experience with hand tools

  • Ability to lift 50 - 60 lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual - Spanish preferred

  • Experience with soldering is a plus

Work Environment

You will work in a production setting involving the assembly of large transformers. This includes handling units as big as a small refrigerator. The role requires familiarity with various hand tools and power tools. Adherence to safety standards is a priority, and maintaining an organized workspace is essential.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
